Bracelet – Abalone and Sterling – Warrior Mask Vintage Aztec

Description

This beautiful vintage bracelet has abalone shell inlay into sterling .925 silver.  The bracelet is hinged with a working pressure clasp.  The Aztec design is of 3 warrior masks with earrings and 3 plain abalone panels.  7″ x 1 & 1/8th inch – preowned and it great shape.

Stamped TAXCO, sterling, .925 on the clasp.  On the back of one panel is a stamp with an eagle’ head,  “AP” and Mexico. It was made in Taxco, Mexico – famous for the silver jewelry  artisans who gathered there and it is recognized for the outstanding wrought silver work.

Warrior masks were worn during ceremonies, they represent spirits, animals, and heroes.
