Description

Leather shoulder bag 10″ H x 11″ W. The lovely hand-made porcupine quillwork. The design includes yellow flowers, green leaves, and brown stems. The bag has a pocket under the flap. It is lined with cloth with another leather pocket inside. The the adjustable strap and buckle allows the purse to be worn across the body or on the shoulder.

To make the flower and leaves, the hollow porcupine quills are softened in water, so they are pliable, then they are flattened. The leather is pierced with an awl and the quill is sewn into the leather. The stem is made by keeping the quill round and tacking it down with a needle and thread. This bag is very well made and will last over time.
