Niagara pin cushion – Vintage

Description

This Niagara bead work pin cushion “whimsy” is vintage.  This is a piece of history from the Niagara Falls souvenirs tradition sold by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people beginning in the 1830s into the 1900s. This pin cushion is 4.75″ in length x 2″ across. There are some beads missing around the edge.  The bead work in the design is intact. It is on a purple background with clear beads, as well as red and also gray tube beads.  This is a lovely example of this style bead work. Check out our other whimsies!!
