“From Niagara Falls” Needle Case red with bird

Description

This amazing Niagara bead work needle case “whimsy” is vintage.  This is a piece of history; it is from the Niagara Falls souvenirs tradition sold by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people beginning in the 1830s into the 1900s. This needle case is 8″ in length x 5″ across. The ribbon around the outside and some of the border bead work are missing.  Except for the boarder, the bead work in the design is intact.
