Niagara Coin Purse – Red – fine bead work

Description

This red Niagara bead work coin purse “whimsy” is vintage.  This is a piece of history, from the Niagara Falls souvenirs tradition sold by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people beginning in the 1830s into the 1900s. This coin purse has very small clear beads. It is  3″ in length x 3″ across. The edge has some moth damage and most of the loops on the edge are missing. The bead work in the main design is intact on both sides. This is a lovely example of this style bead work. Check out our other bead work items!
