Niagara Bead Work Purse in Frame with Loops

This Niagara bead work purse “whimsy” is antique.  This is a piece of history; it is from the Niagara Falls souvenirs tradition sold by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people beginning in the 1830s into the 1900s.

This framed purse is a great piece of art as well as protecting the beadwork.  It is  7″ in length x 6″ across. On both sides are in great shape and no damage to the edge material. All of the beaded loops are intact.  See the photos including the close up. The beadwork a great example of purses made in the 1800s. This is a lovely example of this style bead work.
