Leather shoulder strap purse with a quillwork 4-leaf clover

Description

This sturdy leather bag is 8″H x 8.25 W with an red wool lining.  The porcupine quill four leaf clover is intricate and well made.  The adjustable strap and buckle allows the purse to be worn across the body or on the shoulder.

To make the four leaf clover, the hollow porcupine quills are softened in water, so they are pliable, then they are flattened. The leather is pierced with an awl and the quill is sewn into the leather.  This bag is very well made and will last over time.
