Description
This is a great example of Indigenous Woodland Style beadwork from the 1800s. Two panels of a beaded needle case have been framed to preserve the beads and design. This is a great example of beadwork done for souvenirs in the 1800s. One side has an eagle clutching a branch. It is mostly done in clear (crystal) beads. This side has some beads missing and minor cloth damage. The edge beading is mostly intact.
The other side is green with a plant and flower in clear beads. They stopped using clear beads in the late 1800s. This side has about 30% of the edge-beading missing but the cloth is intact. The green side has an old needle and thread on the back.
Each side is 3.5″ x 2.5″ oval.
The frame is included and is used to preserve the bead-work. Check out our other beadwork items.
