Description
Lovely small basket with green and red black ash splints and sweet grass. It is 2″ H and 3.5″ diameter. There are splints tiny breaks on the top and no other damage – just a cute basket with a lot of sweet grass. It is either Haudenosaunee [Iroquois] or Wabanaki [Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Abenaki] made between the 1930s to 1970s. There is a lot of sweet grass in this basket and it is tightly woven. A traditional style from the time of active basket weavers – Not many of these are made any more.
