1″ circle brooch – “German silver” with hand wrought traditional designs.  This style brooch has been a popular trade item since the 1700s among Northeastern and Prairie Native People. Later “German Silver” ones were made available. The avantage of German silver is that they do not tarnish and are more affordable.
