Niagara bead work – coin purse – vintage

This Niagara coin purse “whimsy” is vintage.  This is a piece of history, it is from the Niagara Falls souvenirs tradition sold by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) people beginning in the 1830s to the 1900s. This coin purse is 4″ in length x 4″ across. There are a few beads missing around the edge and the beads in the design are intact. They include white, yellow, green, root beer brown, clear, red and black. This is a lovely example of this style bead work. The pictures show both sides of the purse. Check out our other whimsies!!
