Corn ear carved turquoise by Beverly Etsate Zuni cuff

Zuni carved turquoise center stone on silver cuff signed “B Etsate Zuni”. We at Sunrise Drum are Eastern Woodland people but love to share other Indigenous Nation items like those of the Pueblo people who grow similar crops of corn beans and squash.  This blue maize [corn] reminds us of the many green corn and harvest dances held across all of Turtle Island [North America] .  It is a great gift for planting, harvest or eating time of year!  Sort of a reminder of thankfulness and prosperity.  All a link to all Indigenous who keep maize as one of the 3 sisters… [corn beans and squash] gifts from the Americas to the rest of the world.
