Choctaw River Cane by Tonaka

Description

This river cane Choctaw basket is a single weave. There are a couple of loose splints around the top and no other damage to the basket.  The note inside reads “this basket is made from grass gathered near mountain fork river by a ‘chowtw’ lady named Tonaka from Broken Bow Oklahoma.  This large basket is 11″ in diameter,  9.5″ across the bottom and 12” high.  Check out our other baskets.
