Signed Hopi Pueblo Polychrome 3″ X 2″ Pot by Rosalie Kaye

1 in stock

Signed 3″ X 2″ very nice Rosalie Kaye pot – the following information comes from – and I thank:

“R. Kaye” was active “1950–1980. Normally truly expert pieces come from established pottery families, and we learned that Rosalie Kaye is Lawrence Namoki’s mother—the same Lawrence Namoki that one writer called “the most successful Hopi potter living today.”

I also found: “Cultural scholar Rosalie Kaye is a fluent speaker from Sitsom’ovi. She is a member of the Flute Clan and is very active in the village activities. She advises on language and cultural sensitivity.” This is from an organization preserving the Hopi language – again we thank:
